    Dr. Kimberley Merrell, Practice Owner

    Dr. Merrell grew up in Brentwood, TN. She received her BS in Zoology from the University of Tennessee in 1995 and graduated with honors from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in 2000. She practiced at Petmed in Antioch, TN for 8 years and did relief work at Little House Animal Hospital before coming to McKay's Mill. She and her husband Eric have 5 "kids" - Ted (a German Shepherd), Tugger and GiGi (both rescued as kittens at Petmed), Walnut (a mini-lop rabbit), and Frank (a thoroughbred/quarterhorse). When they have spare time, she and Eric enjoy hiking, camping and traveling.

  • Dr. Heather Bowling

    Dr. Heather Bowling

    Dr. Bowling has lived in Franklin, TN for the last 11 years. She received her BS in Microbiology from Auburn University in 1996 and graduated from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2000. She practiced with Dr. Merrell at PetMed for 2 years prior to spending the last eight years at Cool Springs Animal Hospital. Dr. Bowling and her husband Andrew have three girls Kate, Abby, and Rachel.  She also has a minature schnauzer, Hannah. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, being outdoors, and cheering on the Auburn Tigers!

  • Julie Brancamp, Veterinary Technician

    Julie Brancamp, Veterinary Technician

    Julie is originally from upper Michigan. She has lived many places, but has been in Nashville for over 8 years now and loves it! Julie has bred and shown Mastiffs for 11 years. She has worked as a veterinary assistant in Michigan and Nashville prior to coming to McKay's Mill. Outside of work Julie enjoys spending time with her family and showing her dogs.

    Colleen Holmes, Veterinary Technician

    Colleen is originally from Canada, but spent a lot of time in Florida before moving here to Tennessee several years ago.  She has been working in the veterinary field for over 15 years.  Her family includes 2 cats - Alvin and Shotgun, and Gidget, a miniature poodle.  Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her "people" family as well as her pet family - especially her niece and nephew!

    Callie Felts, Licensed Veterinary Technician

    Callie is a licensed veterinary technician and grew up in Chapmansboro, TN.  She graduated from Columbia State Community College with her AAS degree in 2010.  Callie has worked in the veterinary field for the last 6 years.  She has a lab mix named Macy, a red heeler mix named Cody, and a pit bull mix named Riley.  As you can tell, she thinks mutts make the best dogs!!  She also has a cat camed Binks.  In her spare time she likes relaxing with her friends and family, and being outdoors.

    Deana McNett-Burke, Veterinary Assistant

    Deana grew up in Pennsylvania and moved to Nashville about 16 years ago.  She has always loved animals and began working in a veterinary hospital about 14 years ago.  Since then, she has always tried to continue helping animals even when not working in a vet hospital by volunteering for Nashville Cat Rescue and River Edge Horse Rescue, as well as petsitting.  We are happy she decided to join our team this year!   Deana's family includes her husband Todd and 2 cats, Charlie and T.C.  She also enjoys spending time outdoors hiking, and gardening.

    Sandra Jarrell, Receptionist

    Sandra is actually Dr. Merrell's mother! Sandra is originally from Florida and graduated from Stetson University with a degree in Accounting. Sandra worked for the Small Business Administration as a loan officer which is where she met her husband Russell Jarrell and moved to Nashville with him almost 40 years ago. Sandra's other interests include playing cards with her friends, ballroom dancing, and watching football. We are very lucky to have Sandra here and appreciate her "coming out of retirement" to help us out!

    Donna Pappas, Receptionist

    Donna and her family are originally from Maryland and moved to Williamson County in 2004.  She is married to Bill, a Spring Hill firefighter, and has 2 grown sons, Daniel and Matthew.  Her family also includes Jasper and Lady (both beagles), Dakota (chocolate lab), Knucklehead (corgi mix), and Maggie (pit bull/ pug mix).  Donna loves animals and this is the first time she has worked in a veterinary hospital.  Her previous front desk has been at "people" medical offices for the past 7 years.  Her interests include gardening, reading, and camping.

    Sarah Flynn, Groomer

    Sarah has been grooming for 15 years. She has lived in McKay's Mill for 6 years. Her family includes 3 children and 2 cats.  Sarah grew up in Illinois and then moved to Arizona, Florida, and Georgia before settling here in Tennessee with her family. Sarah began grooming at Petsmart in Florida. She did not enjoy moving so often, but feels it did benefit her by giving her a lot of experience, knowledge, and techniques from the other groomers she met along the way. She credits them with much of her grooming success. She loves what she does and is looking forward to many more years in this profession!
